Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyes Peas are an American pop rock group formed in Los Angeles, California 1995. The group is composed of rapper and multi-instrumentalist will.i.am, rappers apl.de.ap and Taboo, and singer Fergie. They released the album ‘Elephunk’ in 2003 which contained the anti-war anthem ‘Where is the love?’ which became their first major hit peaking at number 1 in the UK were it became the biggest-selling single of 2003. It was the first single to feature the bands new member Stacey Furguson, Fergie and also features Justin Timberlake. ‘Shut up’ was the second single of the album which topped the charts and became number 2 in the UK. ‘Monkey Business’ contained the single ‘Don’t phunk with my heart’ that won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a duo or group. The E.N.D (The Energy Never Dies) is the bands fifth album and is the peas’ most successful album to date. The theme of the album is more inspirational and appealing to the new generation. The album contained three of the bands best songs to date, ‘Boom Boom Pow’, ‘I Gotta Feeling’ and ‘Imma Be’. Boom Boom Pow was released as the albums lead single and was the groups first US number one.

BEP's open with 'lets get it started'. Blend of old songs such as 'Where is the love', 'shut up' and 'glamourous' and new songs such as 'boom boom pow', 'Time of our lives (Dirty bit)' and 'Imma be'. Fergie performed solo singing 'big girls dont cry' aswell as Will.i.am when he shown off his DJing skills.
