Question 1:
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
My Front cover reflects real media magazines because it has one main image that conveys the main headline. The model is looking directly at the audience showing direct address and attitude. It has a stand first underneath the title of the magazine and has a bar code, price and date on the front cover.
My contents page reflects real media products because I have used electric blue and it follows a consistent colour scheme that matches my front cover. The title is repeated on the contents and includes a editors letter complete with a picture of the editor. Also it contains many images that reflect the articles that are in the magazine.
My double page spread article reflects real media products because the standfirst is always underneath the headline which introduces the article. It has 3 coloumns and includes a drop capital at the start of the article. It has one main image on one side of the page that represents the black eyed peas. It has a quote in the middle of the article in a different colour to make it stand out.

Question 6:
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Throughout the process of making my music magazine I have learnt how to use many techniques. We were told at the start of the task that we were not allowed to use photographs from the internet or anything copied, so I took all of the photographs shown on my magazine using the camera's provided in school.
To create my front cover I used Photoshop. I had used this programme in my earlier years of Weatherhead but after using it to make my ront cover I have learnt many new tools and techniques that can be useful to me in my later life.
When creating my contents page and double page spread I used QuarkXPress. I had never used this programme before and took a while to get into it but once I learnt how things work and how to do it I found it very easy and a good way of making the pages. I could also use this in the future if i ever need to make anything similar to this.
I also gained knowledge of using a range of media equipment such as; cameras, video recorders and voice recorders.
Question 7:
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
I feel as if I have improved on my skills and gained alot of knowledge since creating my preliminary task. My main task front cover looks a lot more prefessional and detailed than the school magazine. When constructing my product I have learnt that oher peoples opinions and critisim can be helpful and positive and help to improve my work. I found that designing a rough sketch of the product before starting it helped give me an idea of what I want the cover to look like.
